In Response to Scary Mary: Happy Jack

I really like the juxtaposition of these two recut parodies (and there are many others) in part because each turns the main character on its head: Mary Poppins, the sweet, angelic Ur-Nanny (very different from the book version) becomes deadly, and the crazed “dull boy” of The Shining, who basically ignores his wife and child until he starts trying to kill them (making him a less than ideal parent and partner all along), is turned into Rob Petrie.
